The Perfect Base For A Mountain Bike Vacation in B.C.
Serving up over 200 kilometers of singletrack, Mountain Bike Magazine rates Squamish as one of the the top 25 wildest and most exotic places to ride in the world. Diamond Head’s vehicle access offers paydirt for big bike shuttles. The Crumpit Woods and Valleycliffe areas offer expansive networks of single track trails that take cross-country riders through the stream beds, woodlands and granite features of Squamish's West Coast forest and the gradual slopes, original rail track and occasional technical descents of Alice Lake’s trails are perfect for first-timers, while the Squamish Valley’s dyke trails allow a scenic cruise for slow cyclists. A four season feast for all ability levels!
Squamish is the perfect home base for your British Columbia mountain bike vacation. We are located smack in the middle of Vancouver’s famous North Shore and Whistler’s Bike Park (40 minutes in either direction). No mountain biking tour of Sea to Sky Country is complete without at least a day of riding the trails in the Whistler Bike Park and a day explore the trails on the North Shore.
Whistler Bike Park
Experience the thrill of lift accessed mountain biking in Whistler, with more than 4,800 vertical feet of lift-serviced, gravity-fed, adrenaline-fueled downhill trails in the Whistler Bike Park. There are gentle, banked cruisers through the Coastal forest; tight and twisty single track perfect for intermediate riders; steep rock faces, gnarly, root strewn lines, and drop offs of all descriptions for the armour clad, full-face-helmet wearing, 50 lb. bike group. The park also features jump parks, three skills centres and a biker cross.
North Shore Freeriding
Vancouver’s North Shore mountains cater to riders who wear full-face helmets and ride bikes with huge shocks - most trails are advanced, steep and technically demanding. If you like freeriding on a big bike you won’t want to miss “The Shore”. Three mountains (Seymour, Fromme and Cypress) make up this mountain bike mecca that is the birthplace of freeriding. Home to some of the most challenging trails in the world, many of which are regularly featured in mountain bike movies and magazines, these steep trails are full of roots, rocks and stunts.
Get Fueled By Nature and extend your stay in Squamish - explore the endless options for year-round fun and adventure. We have designed 1-Day adventures, 2-Day weekend excursions, and 7-Day ultimate experience sample itineraries that will be sure to exceed your expectations.
